I would be glad to fill you in.
It was absolutely the best house I could possibly have imagined for our family. The kitchen (we are a bunch of cooks) was fantastic. It really is a restaurant kitchen with every conceivable appliance. I would kill for that kitchen in my house. The bedrooms were very comfortable with each having it's own bathroom and the extra double "powder room" on the ground floor was a bonus. The huge living room and bar area was the focus of our after dinner entertainment. We spent the evening playing board games that my nephew brought down from their house in Germany. And the last few nights we had a roaring fire going as the weather was quite cool and between the fire and the wine we could not have been happier.
The views from the house of the surrounding countryside were everything Tuscany is all about. Vineyards in the front and olive trees to the side. Maurizio ( I'm not sure about the spelling) even showed us where to hunt for wild asparagus which we found and cooked with our pasta for dinner. He and Federica were wonderful and as accommodating as they could be. The sunset views from any of the many patios were the subject of about 150 photographs. It was far too cold to use the pool but it looked magnificent.
I would - and already have - recommended this house to anyone who is thinking or traveling to Tuscany.
There is no doubt I would absolutely stay there again. The owners were wonderful and I think we got along very well. No vacation in a foreign country will ever go without a few mis-steps but this one came as close as I could have hoped.
