Our family of 11 has just returned from a week at Villa di Stefano and we can’t say enough about this beautiful place. This is the fourth Villa we’ve rented in Italy and it was by far the best.
The Villa offered everything we could have needed for a week-long stay- a well appointed kitchen and a great barbeque area and two long beautiful tables for dining, both inside and out. As the joy for us in being in a Villa is preparing our meals with the local food and enjoying them together we appreciated all the options we had in both preparation and dining.
The Villa is owned by father and son Vito and Giacomo and both were true gentlemen and were helpful and responsive to all of our needs. Vito and I communicated easily using WhatsApp. Their property manager was also very helpful.
While the interior was beautiful and immaculate, the outside was the real gem of the Villa. There were terraces and multi level living spaces, beautiful cactus gardens decorated with natural stone from the region and antiques and then of course the pool. The pool at Villa di Stefano was an oasis. You felt like you were at a very upscale 5 star resort. The pool had an amazing view of the sea and had comfortable seating including a beautiful cabana. Additionally there was a covered dining table and sitting area. With the view of the mountains and the Sea it was pure paradise.
Our family enjoyed the Villa and the day trips from Carini very much. We traveled to Monreaele, Mondello Beach, Erice and Trapani. Interestingly enough, one of our most enjoyable meals was at the Miramare Pizzeria in Carini.
Be sure to consider Villa di Stefano if you are traveling to Sicily. This is a beautiful place to spend a week.
